This CD contains QuickTime movies illustrating a behaviour based pain scoring scheme for use in rats. It is intended as an instructional aid in applying the pain assessment scheme developed by J.V.Roughan and P.A.Flecknell (2001).

Section 1
  • Instruction and assessment exercise for use in training staff to recognise pain in rats following abdominal surgery.
Section 2
  • A teaching aid which includes 2 instructional videos in which relevant pain related behaviours are highlighted.
